Brookfield Commons, 141 South Lexington Avenue, White Plains NYC

141 South Lexington is Phase 2 of a residential masterplan to add hundreds of apartments to the center of White Plain, New York within the Brookfield Commons area. The Masterplans looks to breakdown and reknit the fabric of the city by breaking down the superblock currently known as Winbrook. The project will be a 9-story structural block and plank building with multi-faceted brick and metal façade with playful architectural accents. 129 new affordable 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom units will be included into the mix. Existing residents of the Winbrook area will be the first tenants in the majority of the building as the goal is to not displace any of the existing residents. In addition, the building will activate the South Lexington Streetscape with a community and outdoor green space as well as incorporating infrastructure upgrades for the future Brookfield Masterplan Phases. Amenities in the building will include on-site building management, bike and package rooms, per floor laundry rooms, a fitness room, playroom and tenant lounge with a terrace and each apartment with have individual split air conditioning systems. The project will meet Enterprise Green Community and NYSERDA standards as it promotes healthy living with active and passive areas along South Lexington and along the front of the building which will also prompt interaction and community building.
